2010 Regional Conference Minimize

RMA LogoThe SCR Region will not be hosting a Regional Commander’s Conference in 2010.  This is due to several factors.  The first has been a historic trend in the decline in attendance.  Those Commanders who attend the Regional Conference will tell you that there is a lot going on with the classes and exhibitors. The problem is that there are not enough commanders who can attend each year to keep the top quality exhibitors coming back.  Another factor is that each district is doing a great job of conducting training at the local level, where it belongs.  In conjunction with that there is no new training that we can offer this year before National Council.  Now at National Council there will be 2 great training sessions conducted. The new JOHNNIE BARNES Excellence in Leadership & Ministry Initiative and the new RANGER ESSENTIALS leader training program.  These 2 sessions will only be released at National Council so you really want to make plans now to attend.

You may be asking yourself what is Ranger Essentials?  It is serving as the second step in the training process for Ranger leaders (after Ranger Basics) this NEW training program will help you to connect with and mentor the next generation of leaders.  For more info and registration applications, please visit the National Royal Ranger Website.

After National Council each district will be conducting the Newly revised Ranger Basics and the New Ranger Essentials so if you are not able to attend National Council check with your district Training Coordinator to see when and where they will be held in your area.

National Leadership Training Opportunities Minimize

We have one more National Training Camp coming up this year.  NTT will be held in Salt Flat, Texas December 3-6, 2009.   Applications for this camp and all of the camps for next year, are available on the national Royal Rangers web site. Click here for a detailed list of training classes available.

The Final ANTC was held recently in the North Texas District.  40 trainees and 16 staff participated.  The Camp was outstanding.  The trainees experienced wonderful weather and great training from several veteran trainers.  It was a bitter sweet time to think that this training was ending, but it was very exciting to think of the new training that is on the horizon.  Please watch the National website for all the new training events that will be coming soon.

Royal Rangers Missionary Minimize

Matt and Kristi Kling are missionaries to Chile that will be working with Royal Rangers in Chile and in Southern South America.  Here is an update from them!

“We are finishing up our fundraising and getting close to leaving for the field!  We are so excited to be going to Chile to answer God’s call to reach the children and young people there for Christ!   We have been raising funds for 13 months and have met so many awesome people in that time.  We have gained prayer partners and financial supporters from all over the US!  If you or your church are one of these a HUGE thank you goes out to you!  If not, we can still use your help!

So, here's some news you can use: We need just 18% of monthly commitments to reach our budget.  We are sooooo close!  You can help us get there!  Would you consider a monthly commitment to help us get to Chile?

We are also at about 50% of our cash.  If you would consider a one-time gift to help us in this area, that would be great as well!

We also have open dates in our schedule and would love to try and visit as many churches and outposts as we can before we leave.  If you are interested in having us come and share about Chile and the Royal Ranger work we will be doing there, please let us know!

If you are interested in helping us in any of these ways, please contact us at matt.kling@agmd.org.

We want to stay connected with you!  You can find us at our website www.klingconnections.com or on Facebook which you can link to from our website.  These sites will give you some more info on who we are, and why we are so passionate about what we do!  You can also find updates and sign up to be a part of our Facebook cause (Klings Headin’ to Chile) and receive future updates. Please prayerfully consider getting involved with us to see many come to Christ in the country of Chile!”
