2011 Territorial Rendezvous Recap Minimize

The 2011 Plainsmen Territorial Rendezvous is now history. 73 young bucks and 54 old timers from across the territory enjoyed the week in the mountains of New Mexico. Paul Stanek did a great job as our speaker for the week, and the territorial staff of Flintlock and Mouse Hawk did a great job coordinating our rendezvous. Thanks to everyone who attended, and a special thanks to everyone who helped with an activity. The Jediah Smith Chapter were great hosts -- thanks to all of you guys for your hard work!!!

A competition was held at the rendezvous to determine the National Scout representing the Plainsmen Territory and the Territorial Scout to serve the territory for a two year term. 2009 Territorial Rendezvous -- Follow Up Minimize

I think it is fair to say the 2009 Mountainmen & Plainsmen Territorial was a huge success. The excitement and good will generated by the event will help carry both territories into a new era of growth in the spirit of FCF. The combined Rendezvous certainly set the standard for what can be achieved when the spirit of FCF is set to the front.

With over 350 members of FCF traveling to the beautiful Jemez wilderness in New Mexico, the Rendezvous proved to be a memorable event. Seven of the eight chapters in the Plainsmen territory were represented at the Rendezvous with 67 from Indian Nation achieving the most members in attendance. The level of competition, fellowship, and camaraderie was at an all time high. Indian Nation also proved to be the most worthy chapter at Rendezvous by earning the Top Chapter award (again).

Rev Dale Stout set the spirit of the Rendezvous by challenging the fellowship to be tools ready to be used by the Lord. Men and boys alike left the Rendezvous with a renewed spirit of service.

Congratulations are in order for the new National Scout and Territorial Scout from the Plainsmen Territory. Britton 'No Hawk' Wright will represent the Plainsmen Territory as the National Scout. The Territorial Scout position will be filled by Jonathan 'Olive Hawk' Belden.

I would like to thank all FCF members from the Plainsmen territory that were able to make it to the 2009 Plainsmen Territorial Rendezvous. Your efforts in making the Rendezvous a success are certainly appreciated. We are looking forward to 2011 to build on the spirit of the Rendezvous that was established just a month ago.

Your servant in Christ

Bill “Shoots Straight” Stuckey

2007 Territorial Rendezvous Recap Minimize

2007 Plainsmen Territorial Rendezvous - Pecos NM

2007 Plainsmen Territorial Rendezvous - Pecos, NM

National Scout Zack 'Oso' Evans, Territorial Scout Allen 'Snake Bite' Elrod

2007 Plainsmen Territorial Rendezvous
July 18-22, 2007 - Davis Willow, Pecos NM

The rendezvous was a great success. Oak found us a beautiful campsite for the rendezvous, with nightime temperatures in the low to mid 40s and daytime highs in the 70s. We had a total of 112 members register for the rendezvous. We raised about $1500 in our missions auction to help support Banjo, one of our own members who is a missionary to Guatemala. We also raised $500 for a college scholarship for our new national scout, the first time we have funded this scholarship.

Speaking of our scouts, we selected a new national and territorial scout at this rendezvous.  Zack "Oso" Evans from the Jedediah Strong Smith chapter is our new national FCF scout, and Allen "Snake Bite" Elrod from the Indian Nation chapter is our new territorial FCF scout. Congratulations to both of these scouts on their selection.
