I think it is fair to say the 2009 Mountainmen & Plainsmen Territorial was a huge success. The excitement and good will generated by the event will help carry both territories into a new era of growth in the spirit of FCF. The combined Rendezvous certainly set the standard for what can be achieved when the spirit of FCF is set to the front.
With over 350 members of FCF traveling to the beautiful Jemez wilderness in New Mexico, the Rendezvous proved to be a memorable event. Seven of the eight chapters in the Plainsmen territory were represented at the Rendezvous with 67 from Indian Nation achieving the most members in attendance. The level of competition, fellowship, and camaraderie was at an all time high. Indian Nation also proved to be the most worthy chapter at Rendezvous by earning the Top Chapter award (again).
Rev Dale Stout set the spirit of the Rendezvous by challenging the fellowship to be tools ready to be used by the Lord. Men and boys alike left the Rendezvous with a renewed spirit of service.
Congratulations are in order for the new National Scout and Territorial Scout from the Plainsmen Territory. Britton 'No Hawk' Wright will represent the Plainsmen Territory as the National Scout. The Territorial Scout position will be filled by Jonathan 'Olive Hawk' Belden.
I would like to thank all FCF members from the Plainsmen territory that were able to make it to the 2009 Plainsmen Territorial Rendezvous. Your efforts in making the Rendezvous a success are certainly appreciated. We are looking forward to 2011 to build on the spirit of the Rendezvous that was established just a month ago.
Your servant in Christ
