Because of the changing nature of his CPA practice that is requiring more and more of his time, John Permenter has decided that this is the time for him to step down as our Territorial FCF Rep.
I greatly appreciate John's service on the SCR staff. He is the longest serving current member of the staff, as he joined the staff just before I did in 1998 (he may have actually started a year earlier). At that time he was the first regional finance officer in the nation. Later he added Territorial FCF Rep to his list of duties, and he has overseen two territorial rendezvous for our region, plus helped at a National Rendezvous and National Camporama in his capacity as Rep.
Join with me in letting John know how much we all appreciate his service to the region. He's been a great asset to the region, and to me personally, and I know I'll miss him on the staff.
I am pleased to announce that Ted "Oak" Schmidt has agreed to serve as our territorial rep. He currently serves as the FCF president for the New Mexico district, and he has also been serving as the regional public relations coordinator. Ted is already working on finalizing plans for next year's Territorial Rendezvous. We hope to begin announcing those plans on this web site shortly.
