At the 2008 SCR Conference in San Antonio we had an outstanding group of young men from across the region compete for the title of National Ranger of the Year. After a day of ROTY evaluations we met at the Omni Hotel in San Antonio that night for the awards ceremony. The last name called out -- our National Ranger of the Year for 2006-07 for the South Central Region -- was that of Ryan Braaten from the South Texas District.

Congratulations to Ryan on his accomplishment. He is pictured below with National Commander Doug Marsh.

The 2005-06 Regional Ranger of the Year evaluation was held at Christ Church A/G in Ft. Worth on Friday, January 26, 2007. We had an outstanding group of Rangers at our evaluation this year, representing the New Mexico, North Texas, Oklahoma, South Texas, and West Texas districts. Each of these Rangers had to excel in their home district's evaluation process to make it to regional, so we know all of these boys are outstanding Rangers. When the evaluation process was finished, National Commander Doug Marsh assisted with the presentation of the awards listed below, culminating in the presentation of Christopher Trower from the North Texas District as our region's National Ranger of the Year for 2005-06.
